This 8-part virtual series will explore relevant topics curated to enhance leadership skills and provide strategies to navigate today's ever-evolving landscape. Each session will focus on a domain of the Certified Association Executive,CAE, credential.

Discuss how to best work with different generations in the workplace by understanding trends, implications & business impacts, Review how successful organizations are attracting, developing & retaining talent. Examine how associations & nonprofits are establishing and implementing their strategic direction for the future. Examine how organizations are expanding the talent aperture & considering non-traditional candidates; New key hiring criteria & what talent with different backgrounds can bring to association and nonprofit organizations. Lastly look at how leading boards of directors for Impact: sourcing, storytelling & managing to create effective boards.

Don Dea, co-founder of Fusion Productions and co-producer, digitalNow

Donald Dea is a recognized expert in digital transformation, technology deployment, and association strategy. He has authored multiple ASAE Foundation publications on the Internet, e-learning, and GBT. Don has worked with top technology clients, including MPI, Cornell, and Sun Microsystems, and has held senior leadership roles in Fortune 100 companies and government organizations.

He serves on advisory boards for Topline Pro, SureFire Capital, Robinhood, and UVIONIX and is Chair of Operations at PitchLabs. A co-founder of multiple ventures, he mentors students at McDaniel College and Duke/Fuqua. He has served 14 years as Board Chair and Treasurer for America’s VetDogs & the GuideDog Foundation. An ASAE leader, he founded the AAPI Advisory Group and was honored with ASAE’s Key Award. Don holds executive credentials from MIT Sloan, an MBA from Duke, and a BA from McDaniel College.

Richard Yep, CAE, FASAE, Global Principal, Ocean Vista Advisors, VP, Vetted Solutions

Richard Yep, CAE, FASAE, is the founder of Ocean Vista Advisors, specializing in not-for-profit organizations. He is also a Vice President at Vetted Solutions, an executive search firm for associations and nonprofits. Previously, Rich spent 33 years at the American Counseling Association, including 24 years as CEO.

An expert in association management, he advises on leadership, governance, communications, and DEIB. Active in ASAE, he has served on multiple committees, was named an ASAE Fellow in 2012, and received the Key Award in 2017. Rich has also served on the UN Global NGO Executive Committee and chaired Excelsior University’s Board of Trustees.
