Steve Broadwater, CAE is an association professional with a background in consulting and a focus on the member experience. He serves as the Director, Membership Strategy for The American Institute of Architects (AIA), where he leads all recruitment efforts and manages the entire membership lifecycle. Steve is involved in several organization-wide initiatives including championing the rollout of Smartsheet and is currently building out a strategic outreach channel at AIA to create additional engagement points and provide new avenues for sales conversion.

Rebecca Myers has more than 15 years of association experience in marketing, branding, and communications. As Managing Director, Brand & Operations for The American Institute of Architect in Washington, DC, she works to establish inter-departmental collaborative systems and processes that facilitate smooth execution of campaigns from ideation and strategy to creation and deployment. In addition, she leads an extraordinary creative team of talented writers and designers who support a more than $70 million revenue goal. Having recently wrapped up a brand evolution, she’s currently working to establish a top-of-the-funnel brand campaign that will elevate brand awareness and inform mid- and bottom-funnel campaigns. Rebecca lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband and two daughters and enjoys traveling as much as schedules allow.
Michael P. Skiados, MBA, CAE, Managing Director, Membership Strategy and Engagement, American Institute of Architects
Mike Skiados, MBA, CAE is an association leader who strives to understand what an individual member needs to connect them with relevant experiences. As Managing Director, Membership Strategy and Engagement for The American Institute of Architects (AIA), Mike leads a team of association professionals who excel at communicating member value and helping members participate in pertinent activities that drive recruitment and retention. He is currently leading one of AIA’s priority projects designed to improve member engagement, with deliverables such as codifying audiences, creating new member categories, developing a modern membership structure, and standardizing dues across a 209-chapter network with a focus on improving member satisfaction and sentiment.
Mike currently serves as the Chair for the Membership Professionals Advisory Council (MPAC) and is partnering with a smart and diverse team of membership leaders to support ASAE’s priorities to Create Member Value, Foster Workforce Development, and Enhance Culture and Infrastructure.
